iRobot Mini

Roomba Mini is iRobot’s newest product line, designed for consumers who want the power of a full-sized Roomba in a smaller, more compact form, without sacrificing performance or personality. Our team was tasked with developing retail graphics and packaging that captured the energy of the Mini line while simplifying product information for quick, confident decision-making. Centered around the idea of “Human Touch,” the design system leans into bold color, warmth, and approachability, using visual comparison cues to highlight the impact of a smaller-sized device. Tone-on-tone robot imagery paired with vibrant, color-blocked backgrounds brings a sense of joy and charm, while maintaining clarity, calm, and strong shelf presence.

The project began with a cross-studio brainstorm between FutureBrand’s New York and London teams, resulting in three distinct creative territories. Through multiple rounds of iteration and client collaboration, we landed on the final direction: Human Touch.

A key challenge was dialing in the exact Pantone match for each Roomba package—striking a balance between tonal harmony and product distinction. Through iterative test prints and close collaboration with the client and print vendors, we calibrated colors that achieved both visual cohesion and clear product visibility on shelf.
